Title: A Fundamental Conjecture in Shannon’s

Information Theory

Abstract:

This talk is concerned with the conjecture "Along the heat flow, the derivatives of the Shannon entropy alternate in signs.", which arises from Shannon’s information theory. We generalize this conjecture to the case of Tsallis entropy, and discuss some of its generalizations.
